We wish each other verbally for the New year. Many of us send out Greeting cards. In the present era, we greet through tweets, SMS, etc.The very act of sending a greeting makes us happy. So also the person who receives a greeting feels joy!
Now, this act of greeting someone through a written word dispatched through any mode of communication is a silent message which is read at the other end.
On the other hand, a telephonic greeting is verbal and speech or through sound !
The feeling of pleasantness experienced by the mind is both through sound and silence!
we can therefore infer that our mind is influenced to generate the emotion of joy or pleasantness through both mediums of sound and silence!!
